Things can seem so drear,
Life can seem so worthless,
Defeat seems so near,
The bluest skies will turn to gray,
Rain will fall on a sunny day,
Clouds of doubt may hide the light of day,
Yet! There is a Light that leads the way,
There is Hope, There is Peace,There is safe security,In the name of the Lord, my God,There is Strength for the Journey,Heavenly Manna on which to feast,There is Hope, There is Peace,In my God!
Life's not always easy,
Everything don't go my way,
Each day brings a new emotion,
In this world of constant change,
In my mind, lies a battle,
That is where the war is won!
So I meditate on God's Word,
As I cling to his Son,
In Whom,
There is Hope, There is Peace,There is safe security,In the name of the Lord, my God,There is Strength for the Journey,Heavenly Manna on which to feast,There is Hope, There is Peace,In my God!cgb
Life, does not always go according to our plans, in fact I have learned through many a sorrow, and many a tear, for the most part, life does not work out how I intend it to at all. Love ones die, those we trust the most let us down as we also let those who place their trust in us down at times due to bad hair days, of course I don't see many bad hair days these days due to another one of life's little changing issues called balding.
ReplyDeleteLife, is down right hard friend, but we just can't throw in the towel and turn our backs on the world only to let bitterness be our ruin.
I recall one of my first experiences of life's horrors. It was on October 3, 1983 when an eleven year old boy who I was lost his best friend to the hand of death. My daddy died that day and my whole world would change forever, for Super Man wasn't really super after all for he could be touched by pain and also by death. The day my dad died I did not find out about his death until around 5:00 P.M. in the evening, until this time it had been a beautiful day, the sky was clear blue, and the whole day I had felt so great as if the world revolved around me, in fact I remember saying this is the best day of my life, and then I learned the bluest skies can turn to gray, and rain will fall on a sunny day.
Christ tells us in KJV John 16:33. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer I have overcome the world.
Christ also speaks unto us about enduring life in KJV Matthew 24:4-13. And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in diverse places (diverse meaning various). All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity (iniquity being sin) shall abound the love of many shall wax cold. BUT HE THAT SHALL ENDURE UNTO THE END, THE SAME SHALL BE SAVED.
Looking at life From The Bottom through our natural eyes as we perceive life viewing life through our carnal way of thinking or rationalizing life from a carnal perspective, life is hard, drear, and worthless, as defeat seems so near, but IF, we will PUT ON, the mind of Christ by consuming his flesh and blood (and how is it that we consume his flesh and his blood)by reading, taking in and obeying his word we will find HIS PEACE, and HIS CONFORT as we abide in him and he abides in us as we obey his words we then also put on the mind of Christ.
My prayer is that you will not only find the meaning of life, but that you will find the PEACE that you long for in this life, and I know that the PEACE we all long for is only found in Christ as we turn from our ways unto his ways which are found in the following of his righteousness also leading us unto his holiness as we put on his mind. Don't give up!
Only believe!
For weeping may endure for a night, but Joy comes in the morning!
