"I Know"

I know there are times, when life is unfair,

I know there are times, you carry more than your share,

I know there are times, when life's billows are rough,

I know that I've won the war, so don't you give up!

I know there are times, when nothing goes your way,

When the heat seems so high, yet you can't find the shade,

I know there are times, when temptations assail you,

You must Abide in me, my words will not fail you.
I know how it feels, to be wearied from the fight,

As morning does come, and still you face the midnight,

I know how it feels to be rejected and scorned,

forsaken and hurt by your dearest loved ones,

I know how it feels to be nailed to a cross,

Which you would rather not bear,

I Know, I Know, for once I was there!

I bore a cross for the sins of all man!

I lay cold in a tomb to face deaths chilling hand!

I took the sting of the grave when I arose on that day!

And I Know, that I Know,

I will return for the faithful, some very soon day!

You are my God, You are my Lord,

The One I do love, The One I adore,

I hunger for You, and nothing more,

You are my God, You are My Lord,

You are my Friend, my hope in ths world,

The Joy that I have, is knowing You more,

The Peace that I know, is found in you Lord,

You are my all, and all I live for,

Feeling like a loser, going the wrong way,

Needing a little encouragement to get me through the day,

Lord, I try, to see it through your eyes,

But I fail time after time,

Still I carry on,

I sing my song,

On this journey home,

I'm well aware that you are near,

Never will you leave me alone,

I carry on, on, on,

I carry on,

Someday the sky will split, and all will see,

You assending on your throne,

So I walk by faith and not by sight,

Knowing this world is not my home,

So though feelings may grasp me,

Whatever they may be,

Thy Word alone will be my lamp,

For I'm safe abiding in Thee!

"From The Bottom"

Looking up from the bottom,

Things can seem so drear,

Life can seem so worthless,

Defeat seems so near,

The bluest skies will turn to gray,

Rain will fall on a sunny day,

Clouds of doubt may hide the light of day,

Yet! There is a Light that leads the way,

There is Hope, There is Peace,

There is safe security,

In the name of the Lord, my God,

There is Strength for the Journey,

Heavenly Manna on which to feast,

There is Hope, There is Peace,

In my God!

Life's not always easy,

Everything don't go my way,

Each day brings a new emotion,

In this world of constant change,

In my mind, lies a battle,

That is where the war is won!

So I meditate on God's Word,

As I cling to his Son,

In Whom,

There is Hope, There is Peace,

There is safe security,

In the name of the Lord, my God,

There is Strength for the Journey,

Heavenly Manna on which to feast,

There is Hope, There is Peace,

In my God!

"Love Is For"

If it's not for the hard times,

Then what is Love for?

To see us through turmoil,

To see us through war,

To help us to stand when we would fall,

To carry us through when hard times do call.

Love is to cherish,

Love is to keep,

When were unlovely,

Love is still sweet.

If not for Love,

There would be no rain,

Nor any cool breeze,

On a cool Autumn day?

Where would I be?

Only Love knows,

For it's Love that has kept me,

Through life's highs and life's lows.

When I was wrong and everyone knew,

It was Love which carried me through.

When I, even I, would have forsaken me,

It was Love that was there for me,

I've learned through the storms,

Just what Love will endure,

And wouldn't trade the Journey which taught me,

What Love Is For.

"I Choose"

"I Choose"

As a person I am but for a moment,

But what I leave behind is a Legacy,

And will sharpen or dull the souls of men.

As a man, my stature is small,

But my life is Enormous!

Causing great change for the better or worse,

I choose the better!

It is my choice to make a difference

In the lives around me,
To touch the spirits of men in a positive way,

And to also allow them to touch mine for the better,

So that together we'll make a brighter tomorrow,

Not of ourselves but through the hand of God,

Even if we choose not to believe!

I will daily remember that my time is short,

So moments must not be wasted,

For one of these moments will be my last.

No Regrets is all I ask!

"The Choice is Mine."

"The Choice is Mine"

The Choice is Mine,

To do the wrong, or to do the right today,

Whatever path I do choose,

The choice is mine to take!

The breath God gave when I awoke was a gift

from God to me, yet the choice is mine how I

will spend it, freewill is also free!

The thoughts I ponder,

The words I say,

Choices I make through each day,

To forgive a debt or release a sin,

To love an enemy as my friend,

To bless the scorner, to help the weak,

To give of self to those in need,

Though my steps are counted,

and my end is known,

Still lifes choices are of my own,

So I choose the right and I shun the wrong,

Setting my heart on a place called home.

Through the valley of death I will not fear,

For I choose to believe my Lord is near!

Stand through the storm!

Stand through the fight!

Stand through the day!

Stand through the night!

Stand when it seems you can't Stand anymore!

Stand when defeat howls at your door!

Stand through the sorrows!

Stand through the pain!

Stand for the glory of Jesus name!

In Standing for the right! you'll never go wrong!

Never regret Standing alone!

The loser may cry! Regret may weep!

Yet!

For the one who Stands!

Victory is sweet!

The one who don't Stand never will know!

What they were to become, if forward they'd gone!

Because they thought they'd Stand alone!

So Stand for the good!

Stand for the weak!

Because the One to fear, the records do keep!

I know how it feels to feel alone!

Yet!

Its only a feeling that soon will be gone!

I've learned through my Standing, What love is for,

By the end of lifes journey, I'll know a little more!
